Advanced Plating did my original 66 rears for $550. $275. a piece for plating, they didn't need any repair work, just the plating and they are beautiful. It took about a month turn around time. I did use another company that I would never use again and that was Tri-City out of TN. Took over six months after a six week promise and the chrome came off in my hands in quarter size chunks. .

Pete, the best of the employees left Tri City and have formed a new company just up the road from their former employer. I used Tri City for many years with very good results.

I have seen the work of the new company and it is what you want for a judged car. They are not show chrome, over-restored works of art. The work looks very close to what these cars had when they were new.

You bring up a point I hadn't thought about Dick.......I noticed on my car that some chrome on front surrounds under the bumper have bumps on them. Not bubbles like it's coming off, but chromed bumps more like careless finish work. Is this usual?
You have to sorta stand on your head to even see them, so don't know if it's worth having redone.
An opinion please?
