    1995149 headlight switch

I have my 67 corvette 1995149 headlight switch out because the rheostat is burned through where the dimmer switch is at the bright setting. Its been like this for a while and also has a rough spot when pushing in from headlights to parking lights. I need to find a NOS switch so any help is appreciated.

Is this 1995149 different in that the parking lights stay on when the headlights are on. I read something about this in the archives and wanted to clarify. Also read something about the later replacement 1995179 switch and dash lights not being as bright as the old switch.

    I appreciate any help, Tim

    Tim -

The 149 switch should turn the parking lights OFF when pulled out to the headlight detent. Many cars were modified to keep the parking lights on with the headlights, but that was done with an external jumper wire across two of the terminals in the connector.
