63 convertible, drum brakes
Heeding suggestions in earlier earlier posts, I went searching for a late 90's to early 00's S-10 "donut" to use as a spare. I had to hit several salvage yards before I found one , but for 20 bucks I got one that still had the hair on the tread. The diameter of the tire is almost exactly the same as the diameter of the radials on the car; it is fairly light and fits nicely in the carrier tub without changing to longer bolts. At some point GM changed the bolt pattern for the S-10 from 4.75" to 4.5", so take your tape measure with you.
