    You can try squirting some WD40 or similar in the lock mechanism. It could have corroded up some over the winter, even though it worked the first time. -Dan-

      If nothing else works you can insert a screw driver in the key hole and turn the entire lock. This will turn the rod that extends into the latch. Probably will need vice grips to get the leverage needed. Likely will mess up the lock but save the trunk and latches. New lock cylinder with all parts and keys sell for $28-$29 plus shipping - repo.
