    C1 gas tank cover

    Is there a cushion or pad located on the gas tank cover on a '61 or does the top (when down) rest directly on the fibarglass? If there is one, what does it look like and where can I get one?

      yes, there is a pad glued to the gas tank cover. you can get it from AL Knoch Interiors.they have an online catalog. mike

          I'm not a fabric person at heart but I suspect you can buy this "mohair" by the yard really cheap at your local fabric store. I believe you need black for your year.

                  Suggest you buy it from Mary Jo if you don't plan to shop at the fabric store. Her price is only $16 whereas several other sources are close to twice that. So my guess is she bought yards of it at the local store. You can reach her at:
