C3 fuel over flow hose routing

What is the correct routing for the overflow hose? does this hose rest on the rear exhaust panel or does it route through the panel and into the rear bumper down turn? there is a small hole were the reinforcment is and looks as if the hole is big enough to fit the hose.

Ed the hose normally is routed along the RT bumper brace that's the round brace. That is attached to the vertical section of the rear bumper. The hose is attached to the top of the brace and follows the contour of the bumper till about 1" to 2" (inches) from the end of the bumper. There is usually 2 black tie straps have also seen 3 used to secure the hose to the brace. Hope that helps. Paul 18046

      Ed -

The routing of the overflow hose should be shown in UPC 8 in your Assembly Manual.

        Hi Edward,
Here's a picture of the overflow hose from my 71.
You can JUST see the end of the hose at the bottom of the picture, and it's tied (2) to the round brace just as Paul indictaed.

Alan, thats the way I had it , today I changed it to route through the bumper bracket into the vertical part of bumper, I looked at the AIM last night and thats the way it appears in the AIM. if you have a 70-72 AIM take a look and let me know what you think.

              Hi Edward,
I took a close look at the AIM today.
I believe the round brace is represented by the dashed lines. You can see that the end of the hose does curve toward the front of the car once it's past the lower tie. The hose doesn't follow the brace toward the bumper.
Did you notice in my picture that the ties are 'facing' one right and one left? I put them back that way even though the AIM shows them both facing the same direction.
              Regards,
              Alan

I did note , but my car had a fuel tank replacement before I brought car, so there was no way of knowing what is correct, I did assy. mine in the same direction. Do ya think I should switch one,as I am about 6 weeks away from my chapter meet for the first time?

Terry, in Alans last post he made a note about his ties being one facing left and one right on the brace, mine are as the AIM, but being the AIM has been wrong before, it struck my curiosity.
