Under the car. are the long plates that front of the seat bolts to, saten or olive green, what is the right color?

If you believe the JG they are black. They were green on our '65 S/N 15055.

If it is an AOS built car thier green if it's built at St Louie they are semi gloss black.

Mark, Check your Trim Tag, Traditionally the AO Smith bodies were Green, & ST Louis built bodies were Semi Gloss Black. Barry

I was always told that AO Smith cars used green zinc chromate and SL cars used black. On my AO Smith 65, the bird cage and all under car brackets are green.

It comes in several different colors. Green and yellow being the most common.
