Mike, The Pgh. Chapter does this in an informal manner, We have many older restorers in the group, who have lots of experiance & "specialty tools" in their inventory, who loan out tools to younger guys when they need them, & sometimes go along to help.
How do you keep your "Tool inventory" under control? Is there someone in charge of MAC's tools? Barry

There is at least one more chapter that does, they used to list a set of stamps and a holder in their tool catalog.

we've got a pretty extensive collection of specialty tools we lend to members in need. for example, the chapter has the Mongoose tool for the c-1 rebound strap rivets, something an individual owner probably wouldn't use more than once in a life-time. the keeper of the tools varies over time. Bob Baird currently keeps and lends the MAC tools. I'm gonna send you the item i'm donating to the Pittsburgh chapter and you can see that it's available to the membership. send me your snail mail address. regards, mike

DR. Mike, Very nice of you to loan out donate speciality tools to the chapters that want them. Much appreciated.
As Barry mentioned our Pittsburgh chapter is always anxious to help our fellow members with tools as long as they return them in a gracious manner.
              Thanks again, JD

                  Dick,

I thought the Carolinas Chapter has a complete set of VIN and broadcast stamping set for engines.

Not us, but there was a chapter that listed a set in their newsletter

Probably know a couple in the chapter that have access to some though
