    53-55 6 cyl vs. 8 cyl flexplate

Can anyone fill me in on the differences in the auto transmission flex plate between the 6 cylinder part and the 265 V8 part? I'm guessing that only the 6 cyl part has the little steel ball embedded in it for timing alignment. Anything else - number of teeth on the ring gear, bolt pattern, etc.?

The bolt pattern for attahment to the rear crank flange is also different. You CANNOT physically interchange 6-V8 flywheels/flexplates.
