58 side glass removal

Hi, Removed all as per directions and yes 2 screws each side on brackets, and are free from rail, window comes to top then will not come out any more, is it the rubber gutter on the inside bottom that stops window from coming out or am I missing more fasteners somewhere, seems to bottom out on something at top but will not pull out with some force??? Must be changing clocks yet,12 in my house, anybody up on the side glass not coming out of door yet, feels like something still holding it in at top of travel, Thanks, Brad

Rubber lower seal definitely will hold it in, especially if it is 52-year-old rubber! You can try to fold the rubber up, but it often will break. If you're going to replace it anyway, break it off before you try to pull the window out.

Just needed to pull a little harder, now I know what to expect for the other one, does one even need that rubber gutter anyway in there, it must be to drain water away from metal parts? Can one buy that bottom piece repro only that holds bottom of window also has brackets to screw bottom to? front bracket screws rotten and need to be drilled out or replaced. Thanks again. Brad.
