    Blake -

The objective of the adjustment is to obtain 1-1/4" of pedal free play (measured at the pedal pad) from all the way up against the rubber bumper to the point where you feel resistance (throwout bearing face contacting the clutch fingers) when you depress the pedal. Don't worry about the dimension at the swivel - adjust to get 1-1/4" of pedal free play; that's what keeps the throwout bearing from frying.

Hello John, When I adjusted @ .400 at the swivel I ended up with 1 3/4" free play. Mr. Lucia suggested that might be excessive. So I went back to the nuts and started reducing that gap and did indeed end up with approx 1 1/4" free play. Ironically, that's about what I had to start with. but I had to check it anyway.

      thank you, Blake
