I now have a '62 Corvette in two pieces. I lifted the body high enough today to roll the frame out from under and over to my other bay. The serial number shows as SIC2550. It was stamped twice on the frame under the drivers door. The 2550 is correct but what does "SIC" mean?
Everything went fine with my lift. Worked well for a one man operation. A couple of clicks on each lift point and keep it level, checking it after lifting on all five points.

, but both stamps are done the same way. The serial number is S102550 so that is what it must be.
Way back when working my way through school for three years I ground tandem truck axle beam ridges and then stamped the part numbers with a gang stamp. Few stamps were perfect and some not legible.
