    Accelerator Lever

What holds the accelerator lever on the accelerator pedal rod. Do you use a small bolt to pull the fork together after sliding lever on rod? There is a hole at the end of my accelerator rod. What type of fastener would be used for this and what is the purpose. Possibly the hole was drilled after the factory for some reason.

Not sure about the hole without seeing the exact location, but you are correct as to a bolt and nut (and lockwasher) are used to hold the arm on the shaft (make sure to install before the engine) There is a threaded hole in the middle of the arm for a ground wire attachment, but that is the only hole I'm aware of other than the one for the linkage. See upc6 D2 in the AIM for a good picture.
