What is the difference in a 70-72 hood? Something to do with the prop mounting holes? And how can you tell if it is gm other than smooth bottom? I have a lead on one for sale.

Thanks Terry. I thought that's what it had to do with. Anybody know how to tell an original from repo?

I always look for the small numbers that are embossed into the underside of the hood near the rear opening. A set of numbers (approximately 10) are viewed upside down and backwards when the hood is opened.
