    Hosed by a PV

These Bugatti U-boat commanders got me thinking about cars and water. Exactly how many leaks or how much water would be acceptable if we added a "hose down test" to the PV list of checks? I wonder how many cars could pass a test like this? After the rains in Kissimmee I found out that my LT 1 would FAIL!

And some team leaders have already incorporated it into their PV's...pouring water from a bottle over the windshield...saw it a number of times in FL

So, ten drips for the c-1 five for the c-2 three for the c-3

In that case I'd better hurry!

My '61 leaked so bad when it was a year old that I bored holes in the floor pan to drain the water out.

Good fix. Next step would have been a life vest under the seat.

We used antique squirt bottles of seltzer.

They were part of the inspector's kit, along with magnifying glass, monocle, and chained pocket watch.

                  Kevin,

If you are going to waterboard my corvette? I will call Obama. If it drips inside there must be someone to blame. GM recall?

                  Just kidding.

Corvette leaks were the reason duct tape was invented. That and helicopter blade field repairs. Gary....

My '62 never leaks, except when I drive it in the rain or wash it.

My 61 would leak during the PV test for windsheld washer operation. Thanks that the PV judge Dale Pearman did not think that was unusual.

The pocket watch is a nice touch!

i have never owned a corvette that did not leak. the 4 i have now all leak. the older the car the more water you get in. i might as well wash the 57 with the windows down. i have to put towels in the floor to wash it.
