Sebring Historic Races Today.....Some Youtubes for you

Hi All,

Today we went to Sebring to see some of the practices and qualifying for the upcoming historic HSR races this weekend. Took some videos for you to watch. After the one below click the link for "More from richmzyt" for several others. The first one below has 2 '56 Corvettes running the straight in front of the pits. Others have later Corvettes, Jaguars, Porches, Camaros and more. Video quality isn't that great but I bet you'll love the sounds!

Thanks Rich! I sent the link to the fellow I bought my '57 from. Max has told me the story of the times in the early 60's he and his best friend Pete drove the '57 to Sebring for the 12 Hrs.

When we went Friday in the C6, driving along the back roads to Sebring for a few hours, I wondered about 50+ years ago when guys drove their race cars to the track. Very cool.

Rich, Max had a number of great stories about their Sebring trips one a lengthy one about getting stopped by a policeman for speeding (going 5 mph UNDER and getting the ticket overturned and $20 back) and one camping.

The camping story briefly; It was very late, about 1:00 am and they could not find a campgrounds or motel vacancy. They stopped along side the road and pitched their tent in the moonless night by a group of high hedges. Early in the morning the awoke to alot of laughter. They peered over the hedges and about 100 feet away was a state park campgrounds full of people.

'Probably not camping, are you???
