Active handling, might have helped if it was actually off, my gut says even it does not fix stupid.

Getting on the 57 freeway at Cal State Fullerton in my wife's C6 Z06 I went from 2nd to 3rd on the gas and did an instant 3 lane change with active handling turned on. It blew the tires off and snapped sideways. Thankfully I didn't hit anything. I have a current NHRA TA/FC license and have been in the 5's at almost 250 in the quarter mile so it's not like I was blinded by the power or something.

IMHO, I think the tires snap loose faster than the computer can catch it. I've heard a lot of stories about things like this happening. Looked to me like the guy was doing the right thing with the steering wheel as evidenced by the direction he kept the front tires.

About 11 seconds @ 128, I hear. After having mine for a few weeks, I believe it.

GM gives you driving school when you buy the car...but if you're gonna use those 638 horses in traffic, you better have more than a two day school under your belt...
