    Need correct fan blade

Need correct fan blade for my 1970, 454, 4 spd, w/air. Any help on where I can find one?

    Thanks,

These are VERY hard to find and usually very expensive when you do. They were a Corvette-only piece, applicable only to the 1970 model year, and only to LS-5 with C-60.

To make matters even worse, there were TWO different fans used for the above application. Early cars used fan blade assembly GM #3969926. Later, from probably ABOUT May, 1970, used fan blade assembly GM #3993889. These assemblies were configured similarly, but just what the actual difference is, I do not know.

Pacific Corvette may have a used example of the 3993889 for sale. You might want to contact them at 253-841-3533.

By the way, although the 71-72 LS-5 with C-60 used a similar fan, it is NOT the same. It is designed for use with a different fan clutch with different fan-to-clutch mounting bolt circle. That fan clutch, in turn, requires a different waterpump flange and different waterpump pullies. So, if one is attempting to keep a 1970 application original, one needs one of the correct, 1970-only fan blades.

      Jim:

If Pacific Corvette does not have, I would contact Paragon Vintage next, and also search E-bay and E-bay Stores. I would also put an add in the Driveline.

I have seen several for 1970 in the last 5-6 months on ebay.
Most sold for well over $400.

They are really hard to find, and to find one that has not been all mangled up (the tips) is even harder.

Wish I could have posted better news...
