Heater Hose 64 Fuel car 375HP.......

I am replacing the heaterhose on my "64 fuelly and just received them from Ecklers (says Paragon on the box).
When installing, should the GM markings be readable (G M readable, lettering up) when looking at the hoses while standing on the right (passenger) side of the car?
Also, should the ridged lines on the hoses be at the top when installed or was that not a concern originally when the car was built?
Finally, I also have a '66 BB coupe (no air) and am going to replace the heater hose on it and wonder if the same applies to it?

    Larry -

It makes no difference functionally, and the plant made zero effort to orient them any particular way, but for judging, it's convenient to have the logos and ridges visible.

One thing we have found on original cars is that the hose with the ribs was not "Twisted".
That is, if the ribs were in the 6:00 position at the heater core, then the ribs were also at the 6:00 position at the water pump nipple.

Thanks Mike. I will install them with that in mind.
