Found this white paint pen marking on the pass side dash panel, 100th body for that day?

Any other good places to look?

Ron, This could be a job number, I know my 72 has marking 419 on my car I believe this is the date on the body was assy. my car is has apr. 21 on the tag.C3 may be alittle different than C2.

Is you body date JAN.?

Yes, it's the crayon body number, as Edward says. You will probably find the same number when the door panel is removed, on each side, written in crayon on the fiberglass. And on the rear fiberglass bulkhead, facing the gas tank. It was the 110th body (let's assume St.Louis) since the last 500th body total was reached and they re-started with 001. Usually has nothing to do with the VIN or the body # on the trim tag.

This is where the number is shown on the rear bulkhead that Wayne mentioned (from a '65 AOS)

I should update this to say it is a St Louis body, H28.

I found a very small sticker on the rear deck panel, will have to look - to see if we can see past the fueltank at this other area.
