Documentation found for 63 big tank car

This post on another forum got my interest this morning. A guy in LA has discovered an original buyers order for a 63 big tank coupe. The VIN number appears in Noland's survey. Is this car out there anywhere? Would love to re unite this document with the car !!

Here's the quote from the post.

"I found copy of a purchase order for a 63 Coupe (117307) from Bud Gates Chevrolet, Indianapolis, Ind. Date of sale 7/2/63. Options include 4 speed, AM/FM, P. Brakes, 300 hp, P. Steering, 36 gallon tank and tinted glass. Purchasers name was Michael Seriver from Bloomington."

Tom -- interesting find. My tanker survey shows this as a silver/black 300hp 4sp AIR CONDITIONING, PS, PB, PW. Got this info prior to 1985.

Yup, that's the Sebring silver/black car that went through Tom Christman, me, K D James and Joe Hish. I don't remember who has the car today. The car also had A/C. Supposedly one of only two.
I think the original owner was a Dr Michael Scriven, not Seriven. Worked for the Rand corp in Calif but purchased the car in Indianapolis, as mentioned.
I know many will remember this. The car was sold to a guy named Fred Sadowsky from the Chicago area and was to be delivered to him at the NCRS event in FL in about 1991 or 92. Fred a heart attack on the show field and died. Sad deal.

I think that Tom Christman knows where the car is today

The owner of this car has contacted me and I have provided direct contact information for the individual with the buyer's order. This could be a great reunion of paperwork and vehicle.

Kudos; I have to ask whether the dealer paperwork matches the current cofiguration of this car (ie. did it show C60 ?). Curious minds want to know.

How time flies Mike. It was 1986. It happened right in front of me and Mike McCagh. Then my wife and I took a quick 4 day cruise to Nassau, and we lost the space shuttle. That was a bad year of 'reality' checks.

A good frind in Carptinera Ed Wittwer owns the car today. He has had it for over 15 years.

What a great story! This would make an interesting article for the Restorer.
