It is a 1957 frame with a double stamp on it, I do not Know the The vin# of the car it came off, I am in the process of doing a restoration to a 1961 that I have owned for 15 years, and this is the frame that was under the body.
I cannot find the people I bought from to get more history on how this came to be.
I am considering doing a retro restoration with all modern components and selling the 57 frame as it is excellent shape.

THERE SHOULD BE A VIN NUMBER ON THE DRIVER SIDE RAIL. If you are going to sell the entire frame and suspension as a rolling unit with wheels, brakes and steerind box, i believe somewhere around 7500 may be reasonable. at least it was back in the good days of 2006-07.

They made 6339 cars in 1957. This was the 5082nd car constructed, and made very late July 20, 1957.
V= codes for V-8 engine, 'E' for Corvette Series. Being all Corvettes were V-8 engined, the use of the 'V' was never seen in the vin number like passenger cars.

Example: the vin on a V-8 Bel AIR 2 DR, SERIES 2400, WOULD BE VC57F276588, which broken down is V=V-8 Engine, C=Series 2400 Bel Air, 57= year, F= Flint, MI plant, 276588= 176588th sequence vehicle. (they started with 100000)
So the Corvette vin was
E= CHEVROLET CORVETTE 57= year 1957 , S= ST. LOUIS FACTORY, 105082= 5082nd in production sequence.(they started with S100000 thru 106339
