    C1 rear leaf spring liners

Just received a new set of rear spring liners for my 57 from Corvette Products of Michigan - Neal Porter. These liners were nice but the long ones were broken due to improper packaging. - They were to long for the box so someone "forced" them around the corner inside the box and they snapped. Anyway Neal sent me new set of rear spring liners - completely different material, looks like a beige webbing like a belt, no paraffin impregnation, or anything. Just a piece of limp webbing with metal on the ends and the banding material. Looks like you could go to a material supply store and make these up for little or nothing

Has anybody ever seen this "incorrect" looking lining before???

    Thanks

    Hi Jim,

I'm restoring a 59 and am getting to that job soon too. I found these 2 types. Appears wax coated cotton is correct, and plain cotton type is replacement.

I think you need to call them again.
