I'm just thinking about have seat belts restored. I have seen various posts of opinions on who should do the restorations on the belts, but I have never seen any cost amount involved. I know they must vary depending on how much work has to be done, but can anyone quote a price they paid for what they had done and by whom? Just to get a ballpark.

Re: Seat belt resto cost.
It really all depends on the condition of your hardware cores. I had Charlie Santorelli do mine a couple of years ago. All of my metal parts were in real good condition but the cost was still $470. Not complaining one bit because they came back perfect.

Charlie Santorelli got me a complete set of black belts for my 63. Fully restored, ready to bolt in for 750.00. That was 3 years ago.Tom Hendricks

Re: Seat belt resto cost.
Thanks for the info. Corvette Mike has correct restored belts with boots and retractors installed for $599. They are correct for 1964 to early 1966 cars. They look great on the site and are advertised as in perfect condition. What do you think?- Top

Re: Seat belt resto cost.
Will the date codes on the labels of the ones you're looking at work for your car? Is the weave of the belts correct as well? If you don't care about that then it's your call. Otherwise, if you're wanting that degree of detail, talk to Charlie and see if you can send them to him and have him give you a quote....
BTW, you never said what shape the hardware is in. If it's good, I would have them restored..... JMO
Here's how mine come out....

Re: Seat belt resto cost.
Frank, your belts look fantastic. Mine are slightly pitted on the metal and the bowtie ends the paint is almost non-existent and the webbing is well worn and one tag is missing and the other is shot pretty much. The belts at Corvette mike's have been restored but are dated 1964, but all the numbers and ID match mine.- Top
