Windshield wiper motor screws and grommet
I removed and repaired my wiper motor. In the removal process, the threaded portion of the grommet sheared off the washer portion. There was also a screw missing. I bought new grommets and screws from Long Island Corvette. The screws are silver cad plated and came with separate washers. Paragon sells black screws with intregal washers, Ecklers sells screws like the ones from Long Island. The AIM shows a screw with no separate washer....@#$%&@!!! Which is the correct screw type and finish?
Also the grommets are different from the ones on the car which may or may not be original (they do look old).
I do not have my car judged but it is a FI car and I if I replace a part I prefer to have the correct, original part, particularly if it would be a PITA to change it in the future.
