Who has ZR-1 Gray Sport Seat Covers ???

WHo has replacement sport seat covers that meet the rule of originality for a 90 ZR-1 in gray, Got my new ride in the paint booth and it has 60,000 miles so want to keep it original as much as I can but I bought it to look good & DRIVE.

Also looking for new ZR-1 rear emblem black with red letters. Eck has the bowtie for hood & gas cover but not Black with red emblem that is on the right rear.

    Thanks

Al Knoch might be worth looking into. I understand his items are pretty good. No direct experience though.

          Sorry.

yeah I restored a 90 ZR-1 a couple of years ago and it was a black interior I was able to find a good set of GM leather.

I would try to find a good set of leather from a doner car.

what happend to yours in 60K miles that they need to be replaced?

They are not too bad just little wear on the edges and while it is down for paint thought I look in to it. You know the rule the cheapest thing you every do is buy the carthen the real money kicks in, thanks for the hint

not trying to make it restore just want it to look as good as it runs

can you post pics of your wear spots, if its on the bolsters that is of course normal just from getting in and out but I remember years ago the aftermarket leather was missing the Corvette stitching so if you get new leather check on that. I havent looked lately but one thing you can do since the top leather is the same Find a passenger seat and use that for your drivers seat the leather will be in way beter condition than a drivers side.

I did use mid america back in 2000 for replacment leather on foam for a 89 convertible I had when I was stationed in okinawa japan it did the job not sure it would pass judging.

Thanks alot, great idea I will post some pics, never had one judged. I know with replacement winshield & radio will not be in the same class as a low mile car but I love driving this thing. I do have the breadbox, spare tire bag, lug nuts & green bag plus license plate screws & bag anyone want to trade for B & B exhaust

My 61 had more nostalage but this one is a beast Shame the 1st owner did not take a little more TLC but he did a great job with the service so all good for the money.

                  Thanks again

If the leather is showing only minor wear, I would not replace it. Not all of the seat panels are actually leather. All of the actual "seating surfaces" are leather but other surfaces may be vinyl. This vinyl is usually of extremely poor quality and very thin. If some of those are bad on your car, you might consider just having an auto upholsterer replace the panel with the closest material they can get.

As far as who has the complete seat covers, I don't know. However, I do know who DOESN'T have them and that's GM. However, you never know when some correct NOS pieces might show up here-or-there. Here's what you're looking for in the correct color:

                      seat cushion covers---GM #10174817--discontinued 2/97

                      seat back cover (LH)--GM #10174832--discontinued 6/96

                      seat back cover (RH)--GM #10174827--discontinued 10/97

                      Chances of finding these? slim-to-none.

By the way, in case anyone is wondering, the above seat back part numbers are correct. Left side is not always an odd-numbered part number and right side is not always an even-numbered part number. The "rule-of-thumb" is most often "violated" for interior-type parts and that's the case here.
