..... provides an example of the first day (October 21st, 1968) that the Muncie plant implemented the A, B, C suffix code stamping, respecively for M20, M21 and M22, per note in A.Colvin's Chev-by-the-Numbers '70-75.
As a bonus, it's a close ratio transmission from a '69 Corvette VIN # 06595, with assembly code stamping P9R21B. Supposedly, any transmissions assembled on the 20th of October would all have the stamp P9R20 (without suffix).
