I still have a full set of Rajahs. The only way to go when making your own set---way back then. They made the needle on my Sun tach move to the right alot faster.- Top

I run the R45XLS in my L-36. That's the one you want and most local auto supply stores carry them I get mine locally at Auto Zone. The pic of the plug without the cap that threads on just looks like an old plug and it was removed for some reason. The R45XLS comes with that intact.- Top

So which do I order on that link in the original post? the R45XLS or R45XLS6?
still not clear on the difference of them and which I need.- Top

Re: went to order plugs from summit but got confused on this..
The R45XLS6 has a longer ground electrode to support a wide gap range. The out of the box gap of the R45XLS should be about .035", which is the recommended gap for most pre-HEI Corvettes.
The R45XLS is the most widely recommended and used commonly available AC plug for vintage big blocks, and I've never see a big block owner complain of fouled plugs using this plug or any other brand equivalent heat range, either resistor of non-resistor type. It's all in the archives.
IMO opinion for a commonly available item like this, you should buy them from a local parts store so you can inspect them before you buy.

Why "order" them at all and pay shipping? Drop by your local FLAPS and bring a box of R45XLS's home. It's not like they're rare or valuable.- Top

If they are the real 50s 60s era clips and they are for sale let me know. I still use those along with Packard 440 wire on some of my cars. Are they 180s or 90s?

I bought another 100ft roll within the last 2 or 3 years. I was concerned that the product would go away. It has a long part number and I had to find someone over 60 to locate it for me. The good doctor from Cumberland had a article in The Restorer on how to use the Packard 440 wire to look like the original wire on a early car. It probably went along with his NHRA approved slapper bars. The Packard 440 wire really raised cain with TV reception when you drove by. It would make a discrete presence impossible. If you wanted to win on Sundays or on the backstreets you had that wire in the 50s or early 60s.
