Original '68 Shoulder Harness Help Needed (2nd Try)

My first request for this information went way off the subject area so here is my second try:

I am requesting help with the tag(s) portion on original 1968 Shoulder Harnesses, not the lap belts. I need pictures or descriptions of what is written on the tag or tags on just the shoulder harnesses. There is a question as to the accuracy of the TJM on the '68 portion on page 4 and 5 (third edition) in regard to the Shoulder Harness tag(s). How many tags and what is written on each of them.

If you are able to reply to this request, please give your approximate build date and if your car is a coupe or convertible, too.

    Thanks for your help,
    Terry Buchanan

Terry, this pix is from my coupe (sn# 9643)with a build date of February 22 1968. As you can see, the tag is partially hidden (on both) by the sheath. I'll need to take a closer look at a later date.

      Terry

I will try a picture later, but the shoulder belts in my 68 coupe, July 18 build have the tag exactly like the picture above (also partially hidden by the sheath) of the blue belt, which is attached behind the seat. The other half of the belt which is attached to the seat has the labels which are shown in the other thread of the red belts.

Regarding the number of labels, the belt half attached behind the seats has only the 23E68 label. The half attached at the anchor next to the seat has both the 23E68 label and a warning label as shown on the red belts. The wording and layout on my labels are identical to the ones shown in the photo of the red belts in the first thread.

PS...Jack, Feb 22 is my birthday, but I'm older than your car!

Thanks Jack and Rich. I hope we can have more replies from other owners who have original '68 Shoulder Harnesses.
