someone just paid 456.00 for and average condition 64-7 outer heater box cover. on ebay, i wonder if it was the same guy that pais 326.00 for the 66-82 jack hold down spring.

The guy that bought the jack hold down spring was not the winner of the heater box, the heater box was as nice as they get (not average condition)and yes it brought more then I thought it would...........Thanks JOHN

Two weeks ago I got a nice '63 (yes 63!) outer heater box, complete with blower motor for the "Buy it Now" price of $85!

PT Barnum had it right...sucker born every minute...but as another saying goes....to each his own. For me I just laugh at people who pay such outlandish prices, however, it hurts everyone in the hobby in the long run

I think it's great that you have these parts available. If someone wants something badly enough, yes they may pay "unusual" prices, but you know, if it makes 'em happy.....why not! Life is too short.

It's good that it makes you & your family happy too.

Thanks to you, you've let me find some pretty difficult items over the past few years for my restorations. I think you are probably one of the best "auction" sellers out there. Your reputation speaks for itself.

Ditto's on John's items. He always has the best stuff at the cheapest starting bid. No one forces these buyers to bid up an item. It's all supply and demand.

Thanks as always John. Makes me wonder if instead of donating my car to the VFW maybe I should just sell it off piece by piece..Would definitely bring more. Hey John, with your great success in selling could you give 100K for my 64 and still make any money.....LOL

John is one of the best sellers on E-Bay. I only bid what I am willing to pay and no more. He has had many parts that were hard to find and always arrived in as good, or better shape than described. I marvel at how he seems to "know" what I need and then put it out for auction!

these high $$$ bidders are most likely the high $$$$ professional restorers not someone restoring a corvette in his 2 car garage. the owners of these corvettes leave the car and a blank signed check with the restorer .
