57 paint sticker

can anyone easly explain the sticker about the acrlyic paint on the firewall. Did this just refer to the silver or all other colors. I have seen some cars with and with out this. If you have a late production car would it have this sticker? Thanks a bunch.

Chris, the body colors for '57 were nitrocellulose lacquer, except for silver which was acrylic and that is the one with the sticker. Silver coves were not acrylic.

great, kinda what i was thinking by reading the JM. its funny i have seen a few cars with the sticker and they where no silver.

That sticker is a "vendor-inspired" addition on a non-silver car; some vendors think all 57's got one.
