Re: Radiator tags
Simple questions?
This will not give you a Corvette answer, but might help you and others by giving you some hint as to what to look for on your own or other Corvettes.
Now who wants to do the research?
BTW: If this site asks you for a log-in just register. There is a free registration. I think you will find it worth while to read the results of this guys hard work.Terry- Top

Re: Radiator tags
I had wondered how the tags are coded at one point also, especially related to lt-1.
My 71 lt-1 has a tag which I believe just contains - "MK9". I would be happy to contribute pics of my radiator tag to anyone who wants to take the lead on the research.
I had read a post once that indicated the code such as mine was a two digit broadcast code and the number representing the year. I suspect this may not be entirely accurate.
I have seen one very low mileage 71 lt-1 in person which had the same "Mk9" code - the other car is a steel cities grey convert with around 19,000 miles.- Top

Re: Radiator tags
I found a radiator tag in the glove box on my 70 small block air cond. automatic roadster. It had MK9 in raised letters at the top and 3018803 stamped on the bottom flange. I always thought it was for that car but i didn't know for sure. Maybe somebody had a similar setup and can verify its the right tag. Hope this helps- Top
