67-69 Air Cleaner Lid Real or Repro

This item is on ebay. 350318389691 The chrome and the silk screening makes me believe it is a repro top. I have a few originals where it's obvious that they are flash chromed and the silk screening looks a lot less than perfect. I don't need the lid, but was interested in the base. Any thoughts?

Here's a dirty original off a late '69 L68. I took some ethanol to gingerly clean off the dirt. Some of the original printing is already gone -- probably due to someone (me ?) using lacquer thinner in the past .

Notice that the screening is slightly crooked; and in the close-up, the lettering and lines and circles are fat and raised -- check the circle around the "AC". I'm not implying they're all like this, but I show this for comparison.

Thanks Wayne, mine are the same as yours. The ebay one looked too good.

        Jack:
I have both a Paragon repro and the original from my '69 (round lid) The only difference I can see is the printing on the repro is thinner and very clean. The original is thicker and "blurrier" if there is such a word.

Same here Jeff. I am looking for a used base but don't need a new lid.
