    What is the difference???

Hi, just call me stupid but.......
I'am a frequently user on this site and do have read many about exhaust systems, I've just replaced my old "not original" system on my '65 for a new one "this is an original standerd one".
Now i do read about off road exhaust and site systems, what does this means?

Off-road exhaust or RPO N-11 was an available option on Corvettes from 1964 to 1968. This was an undercar exhaust just like the standard system but the mufflers were different. In terms of size and most aspects of external configuration they were the same as standard. However, they had only 2 tubular internal baffles instead of the 3 such baffles that the standard system utilized. So, they produced less exhaust gas restriction and were somewhat louder in the exhaust note.

Twan, on a '65 Corvette there were THREE choices for the exhaust system:

      (1) The base under car, through-frame exhaust that came in either 2-inch or 2.5-inch diameter based on the specifics of the engine for that car.

      (2) The optional N11, 'off road' exhaust. This was as Joe Lucia described; the equivalent of the base under car, through-frame systems but with lower restriction mufflers.

      (3) The optional N14, side exhaust system.

All are described in the Judging Guide book...

I erred on the RPO code; I've corrected it.
