89 Passenger Side Half Shaft ID Plate?

Can anyone decode the numbers on the plate attached to the passenger side half shaft on a 1989 C4? I am trying to decode the factory tag attached to this half shaft. Attached is a photo of the tag (click to enlarge).

Any help will be appreciated.

I know the 10054290 is the part number. Now discontinued. I'm not smart enough to decode the rest.

Just some SWAG:

8YP looks like a broadcast code. If one had the build sheet the answer might be obvious.

1408 looks like it might be a date code. Maybe the 140th day of 1988. Would that work for your car?
