    "Correct" Starburst red anyone

I did a search trying to find the correct red to paint faded bolt-on 67 reproduction wheels. Anyone know what is correct? Thanks

        John -

The N-89 "starburst" cover assembly (fins and ornament) was P/N 3910731; just the ornament (which has the red-painted segments) was P/N 3908161.

          john,

For the black part (bowtie) it says W-10E848 Flat Black or equivalent.

For the red it says W-83E3395 or equivalent.

Maybe thats a paint manufacturers' code ??

It goes on to say Paint durability in accordance with GM-4350 Class "AD".

                Henry -

From some of my original-boxed spares, verified with the 1972 P&A book.
