    Power Window Conduits

In preparing to paint my door pieces, I found that I have lost my power window conduits and against my better judgment I ordered a repro set. I ordered a "pair", and the "pair" came in as two identical pieces -- no difference between right and left. While I can see how they can be used this way, it means that on one side the bend-over tabs will be facing up and on the other they will be facing down. Is this the way the factory ones are? I am kicking myself for losing my original ones.

    Bill,
your suspicions are correct, if the pieces in question are for your air coupe.
Per the AIM the left and right conduit assemblies are side specific.

Thanks -- I have an AIM of course and should have looked before posting -- duh!!

So the question is do I have two rights or two lefts. I can figure it out if you can tell me whether the fold over tabs face up or down. I cant tell that from the AIM at least not mine anyway.

i bought a pair of repos a while back and they were at least a pair, they looked like a novice at a muffler shop bent them and the fit even worse, could barley get the wires through them, if i were you i'd wait until i could find a pair of originals

          Bill,
They only fit one way on each side to the door attachment and the curve required the access the "A" pillar opening. See the attached thumbnail.
Sorry, I am not aware of any "fold over tabs" on production conduits.
Starting at the door they curve inboard, then down and outboard to the open end.
The '66 AIM Sec. A31, pgs 247-8, A1-2 show the Driver side.
This should show what you are looking for.
