66 seat backs

The seat backs in my 66 are pretty dinged up after all these years. Are there any vendors that can restore these things or is it simpler to just replace? If its better to replace, is there a preferred manufacturer or vendor?

John, I got a set of re-pops when "The Interior Guy" did my seats at Knoxville several years a go and they look just like that - re-pops. I found an original pair with good chrome too on ebay for less than $40. They are on ebay quite often.

I repainted my originals and they look ok. I have talked to others who have said the repros don't fit right. Mine have a gouge or two in them, but they do look ok, they would lose condition points though.

Al Knoch restored my 1965 seats and installed his reproduction seat backs. They look and fit good, but I took a two point hit for originality in judging. Unless you find real nice originals, you'll probaly take a hit for condition.
