If your original bolts are 2 1/8", I think they are the 3719947 bolts used for early production 66. The same 3719947 was used for 63 through early 66.
For later 66, the 3888248 was used. The 3888248 is/was 2 1/4" long.
I THINK the 3888248 replaced the 3719947 in production about the same time that the nut was also changed from a "high nut" and lock washer to a lock nut without lock washer.
Both bolts were 7/16-20.
I agree, none of these were zincad. I have new/NOS 3888248's, purchased decades ago, and they are black.
