Dealer Code & Name in Florida?

I am trying to find a DEALER CODE number for a 1960s era Chevrolet Dealership in what I believe was Zone 25 back then, located in Titusville, Florida.

I have an old document that time and the elements have not been very kind to and it is extremely hard to read. I think I have most of it figured out, but Ma Nature paid special attention to the DEALER CODE number. My best guess is that it is 175 but I am not sure. Can anyone either confirm this or blow it out of the water?

    Dealership Name????
name of a Chevy Dealership that was located in Titusville. I figure the population of Titusville to be around 30,000 at that time in the early 1960s so there was probably only one Chevy Dealership serving this area.

    John,
Have you tried to contact a Historical Society in that town or county? They sometimes have old phone books or business directories. Even a local library might have such items. In some locals the Library and Historical Society are the same.

John, Check with the local GMAC Branch offices. Some saved the microfilm records of the GM dealers in the area that GMAC held the paper.

Just checked my old zone map and it shows Zone 25 as Indianapolis, IN. Zone 26 was all of Florida.

            John,

I was just trying to give you more avenues should your question here not bear fruit.

I moved more of that "fuzzy rain" today than I wanted to. It hardly seems like it was three weeks ago when I WAS in Florida.

              John,
From June 1965 through Sept. 1969 I lived in Titusville, FL. The dealer was Gus Falk Chevrolet. I tried to order my '66 coupe from him but the salesman wouldn't deal. I went to Indian River Chevrolet (Cocoa, FL) and made the deal.
Can't help you with the zone/dealer code, but Al Grenning has a lot of them. Check with Al. Good luck! Bill

                John:

Bill is right. It was Gus Faulk Chevrolet. I believe this is the correct spelling. I had a hard time on my 62 build sheet making out the dealer code. I was guessing it was 175 so I think we both could go with that! Zone should be 25

I have a note from the Body Shop Manager I know at Bob Steele Chevrolet in Cocoa, Fl.

He said that there is a man who works at Ecklers(for the past 30 years), and he used to work at Gus Faulk Chevrolet before Ecklers.

No guarantees he'll remember the dealer# but try calling there. Ask For "R.J."
                  Ecklers #'s (877) 748-4555 or (321) 269-9651

                  Rich
p.s. I came to know this from a post here which also has other Florida dealer info I posted at the bottom(of my long post). Bob Hoffman and I did a little offline research a while back. Bob, did you ever reach RJ?

                    Hi Rich:

I did speak with RJ. He worked at Gus Faulk around 72-76 prior to Ecklers. He said all the records were stored but destroyed when the dealership was sold. He can't help with anything in the 60's.

That's unfortunate.....all those records gone. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

Re: Dealer Code & Name in Florida?

Thanks all for the information, I think we have a handle on it now. Wouldn't it be great to be able to travel back to this time and know than what we know now ???

The document in question here belongs to Bob Hoffman, a poster on this thread. He and I are working together to try and figure out all the alpha & numeric characters on this hard to read and pretty rare document he has.

Bob -- I will contact you by email.

Note to Terry: That "fuzzy rain" can be a pain! And also hard on the heart when moving it, so be careful. Also a pain is the -2 temp here this AM --------- and a sunny Florida looks even better

                          John

If George has a map showing Florida as zone 26, then what looks like a 5 in reality could be a 6. As you know my build sheet paperwork is not in the best of condition.
