I'm looking for L-89 sales in the last couple of years, or values of. Any body have a guess what they are worth today? Any current web sites showing these rare Corvette values? What about a regular, correct, 435 67' w/ alum heads added?

Re: 67', L-89 value
Robert,
The green/tan car that was ordered by Ed Cole sold for 205K at the Mecum Monterey auction. Proteam bought it and quickly flipped it for 250/275K. I thought that was a great buy at 205. I was at Bloomington and bid 200 on it but was run up to over 500K, so I was caught off guard when it sold two months later. I am sure that a convertible or coupe with a more desiable color combo will bring more $.Last edited by Steve B.; February 9, 2010, 01:20 PM.- Top

Re: 67', L-89 value
I don't know of many that have sold lately, Bob. The yellow/white one that was owned by one of our Texas members in the 80's is still around.
I believe that it sold about five years ago, but I don't remember the selling price. It was a coupe with sidepipes.
I would think that one of the original 16 with paperwork would bring near $300,000, original engine or not.- Top

Re: 67', L-89 value
Tim, I seem to remember that the yellow coupe was sold in a package deal to Dana Mecum a few years ago which included the maroon survivor 435 and another 435? That car was sold for an undisclosed number but remember a real maroon L89 convertible selling for 375K at his BG auction.- Top

Robert, the yellow coupe was sold but the amount was kept quiet. I believe this took place in 2004 or 05.- Top

Re: 67', L-89 value
The yellow coupe was advertised for quite a while in Hemmings in the early 90's. I believe it sold from the Texas owner to another owner for $125,000 or so in the early 90's. It may have even sold for less than that.- Top
