    Mecum FL Auction

    FYI,
If you have a high def TV and get HD channels the Mecum Auction in FL is being televised for the next few days on HD Theater (channel 727 on Cablevision in NJ) or you can view it online.

Seen some of the auction today.

Why do they cut off the live feed just before the cars are at the end of bidding. You have audio but no video?

      Tom

I always wondered the same. I believe it is to avoid confusion on bidding. The camera is fixed in one position and when they roll a car off and bidding continues, they roll the next car into position. At that point some people become confused thinking the bidding is on the next car on the block

He could step up and pay another couple hundred dollars and get the premium version of UStreamTV, which would allow him to use multiple cameras. This would allow another camera to follow the car that is being sold.

I really enjoy watching the Mecum Auctions. It would be nice if they did a brief replay/snippet of the cars that were auctioned/sold during commercial breaks. You really miss alot of the Corvettes during commercial breaks (not as bad as BJ though.). This would allow you to get a more complete view of the auction. Maybe a 5 second replay of the final bid when they return from a break.
