When dissassembling my 3269 AFB the float valve is different than the float valve in the rebuild kit. The attached picture shows the two types. The rebuild kit valve is on the left and the one I removed is on the right. The one I removed uses a ball check instead of a needle and seat. Is there any advantage to using the ball type? Where do you get them since they do not come in the rebuild kit?

Re: AFB Carb Float Valve
Greg,
The needle and seat on the left is more like the original only no rubber tip. I don't think you can go wrong using that type.
I don't know where you can purchase the other style, probably came from off the shelf rebuild kit.- Top

Re: AFB Carb Float Valve
make sure the the brass needle seat to carb top seals well because i have seen kits where the inside diameter of the gasket was too large to seal. i pressure check all these gaskets after i install them to make sure there is no leaks. put about 5 to 8 PSI into the fuel inlet and use a soap solution around the gasket area to check for bubbles.- Top
