Re: 1972 VIN 1Z37L2S521801 - Your Duntov Award is looking for you
I don't know where the car is, but I recall the owner. That was back when i was NTL. As I remember, Johnathon was a school teacher from upstate New York. Perhaps he moved to Florida in retir5ement, but i haven't heard from him in years.
NCRS membership office may have an address for him if he is still a member, or the address where he was when last a member. Give them a little time to get back from Florida. They often spend some extra time down there.Last edited by Terry M.; January 26, 2010, 06:49 AM.Terry- Top

Re: 1972 VIN 1Z37L2S521801 - Your Duntov Award is looking for you
Have a look at this post over on the CF
C3 General - NCRS Signed Zora plaque found at Kissimmee show - I found this very cool NCRS 'Mark Of Excellence' Award at the NCRS Winter Meet in Kissimmee FL this past weekend. It came with the NCRS front license plate and folder that obviously came with the award. Notice that the award is signed in black magic marker...
Anybody know where this car is today?Terry- Top

Owner of record in 2004 is a member and I have sent him an email.
Erik you are correct the award technically does not transfer many owners keep the Plaque some pass it on.- Top

Current owner has replied to email and will be in contact with the individual that now has the plaque, it appears both are NCRS members and this may end in a very positive result.- Top

Kudos to the many people involved in getting the award to the current owner -- nice job. That is the kind of thing NCRS is all about.I just hope Johnathan is OK.

Did Johnathan own an Elkhart Green 72 LT-1 A/C convertible.??? Seems to me that we have a New England Chapter member that bought the car in 2005 or so and he was listed as a previous owner in the 1980's and 1990's. It was a car with NCRS awards from the 1980's. Story was he moved to Florida from New York and sold the LT-1 to a fellow in Ft. Meyers.- Top

I don't recall him with a green car, just the gray. The most vivid memory I have was at the National at 7-Springs. Dick should remember a candid picture that Jonathan took of me there.I recall he had a 5th wheel trailer with sleeping arrangement in the upper front.
