I've seen an alarm installed behind the passenger kick panel on a 54, along with a motorcycle battery so the main battery could be disconnected...a good anti-theft idea.

That's a great idea. There is a ton of room back there. Do you have a keep it charged from the electrical system with a little rcr to separate the system.

I like Roy's idea What caliber is that?

I'm guessing the drain on a motorcycle battery would be so low that you'd only need to charge it once a year.
