    A little off topic, but.....

while I was watching the B-J auction this evening and I saw a commercial for these grills and I went to the web-site. (thinking of a Valentines Day present for the wife, of course ). They do look interesting. Anybody have one of these or know of anybody with one? I mean it can't be bad, it's modeled after a SBC!

It's been an interesting auction so far. The black 57 fuelie caught my eye, sadly a little out of my price range.

A friend had one and liked it. He did burgers only. Sadly he did not have it long as it was stolen. I am waiting for the FI model.

How was it stolen? Didn't anyone hear the crooks start it up and drive it away?

They were also a vendor at the auction and their grills looked very good.

Ed, I believe it was put in neutral, pushed to the street and down the block before it was "fired" up. But, that is only speculation from similiar crimes. The police brought in a scent hound who tracked the remains of hamburger smell until it got to a McDonalds then the dog lost that specific scent but did get away with a 1/3 lb. Angus Burger and large fries. The owner did not get full value for the grill. The insurance company told him he was "blowing smoke" and as a result he really got "burned."

                  Steve,
I don't know if you heard the up-date to the "Search For The Holy Grill Caper" - police are trying to "match" up tire tracks found at the scene. It has also been reported that no one ever really saw the scent dog "fleaing" the McDonalds - the search for the dog has been put on the "back burner" for the time being. "Arson" works at the McDonalds and wonders if the missing dog has anything to do with the introduction of the new McPuppy Meal - I think that's the end of our "tail".

Ed, so they finally ketchupped with the weinnie who stole the grill??? The last I heard the police were ******* the suspect. Supposedly they grilled him and some of the answers he gave caused the police to howl they were so far out. They threw him a bone offering a plea agreement provided he would not flea town. I can sleep much safer tonight knowing they collared the thief and knowing they took a real bite out of crime. Also heard the thief has been bacon to get out of the doghouse with his wife.
