I have a person selling the below set of tires and wheels for a 74, is it a good price?

"1974 corvette ralley wheels and firestone tires 17,500 miles, includes 4 beauty rings, 4 center caps and of course 4 15x8 wheels and 4 firestone tires $650.00 will not separate tires and wheels "

Whats The Condition Of The Wheels And Trim Rings And Centers, Are The Dated To Your Car? Are You Looking For A Spare Set Of Wheels And Tires?

I have asked for date codes, I have a 74 with a build date of 11 Nov 73. I also asked for pictures. I have a set of 76 aluminum wheels on the car now and would like the original wheels. I also need a spare, if the date codes are correct, I could use one as a spare and try to find another, especially if the tires are the correct firestones. Should I worry if they are correct due to the recall?

Todd, those tires were a safety issue, would only rec. for judging reasons.firestone 500's had blowout issues.if wheels are dated with in the 6mo. of your car they would be hard to come by, grab them.

I will have to wait and see. I would have to buy two sets of wheels and tires then if they are original firestones, a set for judging and a set for driving. Are there acceptable tires for judging purposes? I have seen ( I think) where some items, due to safety reasons will not receive a deduction because of safety.

I recently saw a set judged with no deduct, unless theres something that is seen by the judge that makes the a safety issue.and that would be on the condition side fo the points.

By the way there a very tire to find.
