Best Wiper Door Actuator ?

I need to replace my late 69 wiper door actuator. Are they all from the same manufacturer? Or do some venders offer a better quality actuator. Is the GM restoration one US made?

Larry, you can find used ones on E(vil)-bay.the factory originals is the truely the best way to go, you can always send out for replating.

For correctness thats the only way to go.

Instead of a new actuator have you considered using Bob Demmel's rebuilding and replating service? He has a small ad in the DRIVELINE each month in the Services & Miscellaneous section. (214-693-3959)

Alan, Edward, thanks for your replys. After looking at original actuators offered on ebay I believe my actuator is an original. I thought it had been replaced with a repro when the car was restored by a P.O. about 17 years ago. I will be calling Bob to have the actuator rebuilt and restored. By the way I received my Driveline/Restorer yesterday. The fastest it has ever been delivered to me.

Bob Demmel rebuilt and replated my original headlamp actuators. They look better than the reproduction wiper door actuator that I bought years ago.
