NCRS Regional this weekend - Options???

This will be my first time attending. I live about 1 hour north, so I'm going for the day on Friday.

I reviewed the schedule on the Florida Chapter's site. Is there a cost for admission? I just want to view the cars and experience everything. I'm not bringing my 71 as I want to see how everything is organized first.
Can I view the cars getting judged and is there a cost for that experience? Are there seminars for beginngers that hope to have their car judged some day?

Any help or advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Greg

Greg, admission is free for viewing the cars and swap meet. If you want to participate in Observer Judging or the Judging Seminar you have to be registered for the event. Gary....

Wait a minute....what about the $5 per day fee for non-registered NCRS members.

Doesn't anyone remember how much crap got stirred up over that very issue.

Oh, never mind, it would appear that sanity has prevailed.

I think a phony glue on moustache and a sombrero will avoid that issue.

Based on the layout of the Old Town facility, and the fact that they will have their usual Friday and Saturday afternoon/night cruise events going on simultaneously, it would be fairly hard to completely control access to the NCRS event - specially during the day when the century fence gates are open. Same is true for the swap meet area. However at night, for obvious reasons, these areas are secured and guarded.

Latest weather report looks even better temperature wise (low 80's by Thursday), so you are more likely to fit in if you wear short sleeves and pants. If you dress like a Yankee, you'll stand out (exception for Yankee baseball gear - lots of snowbirds here itching to show the cars they shipped down by train).

There are plenty of things to do. There are several bars besides the Blue Max on the brick streets of Old Town. There is a pretty good size indoor flea market across the street along with many resturants. There will be bike night Thursday, 82 and newer car show and parade Friday at 9 p.m. and Saturday there will be plenty of cars and trucks on display starting at noon, 82 and older. There are all kinds of shops along the brick streets as well.A kiddie park in the back with all kinds of rides. My wife and I go several times a year to Old Town and really enjoy it. Plenty to do.
