I have the original radiator for my 69 435HP auto convertible and I would like to get it restored. Does anyone know where I can send it to get restored? Thanks, Jeff

Re: 69 435HP auto radiator need restored
I am not sure there is a one-stop shop for this, but hang in here because I might be wrong.
I believe a core is available from Tom DeWitt -- click on the "Visit Our Advertisers" radio button above to contact him to be sure. I believe you will have to use your old end tanks. A local shop can install Tom's core into your tanks and you will be good to go. The challenge will be to find a local shop that understands what you want and is willing to work with you. The older the employees the better since copper radiators are a vanishing breed.
The local shop will likely want to put their tag on the radiator so they can identify their work down the road. Explain to them you would like it someplace behind the shroud or another less than visible location when the radiator is installed.
The local shop can refinish it in the usual black slimy stuff that they use for copper radiators. It is better than a fair facsimile of the original finish.Terry- Top

Jeff, one other item that may be of intrest is if there is a metal tag on the tank you may want to remove before you send out, it may get lost.and there may be a retainer for the overflow hose. those items are removeableNew England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
